Denise Crettenden
President - Denise Crettenden (District 5)

Denise is a Seguin native and a graduate of Seguin High School. She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication and English from Trinity University and a Master of Arts in Film and Television Studies from Dublin City University. She and her husband, Leigh, lived abroad before settling in Seguin, where their two daughters attend Seguin ISD schools. She is active in Girl Scouts as a leader and Community Chair, and coaches two Destination Imagination teams. Denise is president of the Parent Teacher Communities for Barnes MS & Seguin ISD; president of the Seguin High School Drama Mamas and Papas; and vice president of the Seguin Choir Boosters. She has served on the district’s Campus Improvement, Bond Advisory, Facilities, and GT Task Force Committees. As a trustee, she has participated in the Audit, Budget, and Safety and Security Committees. She also runs the Seguin Film and Arts Festival with Leigh, volunteers with her church, is a member of the Delphian Study Club, and enjoys traveling and community theater. Denise works as a producer and script supervisor for film, television, and social media.

Linda Duncan
Vice President - Linda Duncan (District 4)

Linda is a lifelong Guadalupe County resident, proud Seguin High School alumna, and dedicated Matador fan. A graduate of Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University), Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Administration and is passionate about serving her community. In addition to her work on the Board of Trustees, she is a founding member, past president, and current board member of the Seguin Education Foundation; a former president and member of the Zonta Club of Seguin, vice president of the Seguin Leads networking group; and a proud graduate of the Seguin Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Seguin program. Linda is also a strong supporter of the arts, having graced the stage in several local productions at the historic Stephen and Mary Birch Texas Theatre. She enjoys adventures with family and friends, often joined by her Havanese dogs, Dexter and Dapper. Linda is an on-air personality and marketing consultant at KWED Radio in Seguin, where she brings energy, creativity, and a deep understanding of local life to the airwaves.

Grace Mueller
Secretary - Grace Mueller (District 3)

Grace is from Metairie, Louisiana, but came to Seguin to attend Texas Lutheran University, where she earned degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She served mentally challenged adults through her work with Guadalupe County MHMR before earning her teaching certificate at Texas State University. Grace retired after 30 years of teaching special education and English/Language Arts in San Marcos CISD. She also has experience teaching educators about cooperative learning, learning styles, and inclusion methods. Grace has served on committees at the campus, district, and state levels for curriculum writing, TEKS development, TELPAS grading, and question development for state testing. She is also a past local president, state chair, and state president of the Texas Classroom Teachers Association. Grace is married to Seguin native John Mueller; they have two children. As a member of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, she chairs the Mission and Outreach Committee, coordinates the altar guild, and sings in the choir. This Lake McQueeney resident enjoys water sports, traveling, and babysitting her granddaughters.

William Dwyer
Trustee - William Dwyer (District 1)

William, a fifth-generation Seguin resident, is a proud graduate of Seguin High School. His family's deep roots in Seguin are evident in the numerous family members who continue to reside and actively contribute to our community. He is fortunate to be married to Cecily Dwyer; two of their three children currently attend Seguin ISD schools. William serves on the SISD Board of Trustees construction committee and holds leadership roles as an Elder and Trustee at First Presbyterian Church of Seguin. He is a long-time officer and board member of the Guadalupe County Wildlife Management Association. William also continues to serve as a board member of the Seguin Ducks Unlimited Committee. He enjoys outdoor activities such as waterskiing, hunting, and fishing. William is a Lyophilization Engineer at Quality Bioresources Inc. in downtown Seguin.

Alejandro Guerra
Trustee - Alejandro Guerra (District 2)

Alejandro is an Elsa, Texas native who holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Lutheran College (now Texas Lutheran University). He and his wife, Yolanda M. Guerra, have two children, both graduates of Seguin High School, and one granddaughter. Alejandro has served on several committees across the district and around the community, including the 2004 Middle School Attendance Zone Committee, 2006 Facilities Committee, 2009-2010 Elementary Zone Committee, 2010 SISD Visioning Committee, 2010-2011 Bond Committee, 2013 Bond Advisory Board Committee, chair of the City of Seguin Zoning Board of Adjustments, and the Austin Community College Advanced Micro Devices Committee. He is also a founding board member of the Seguin Education Foundation, former Teatro De Artes de Juan Seguin Board President, charter member and past Grand Knight of Archbishop Patricio Flores Knights of Columbus Council 16748 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and current member of Seguin LULAC Council 682. Alejandro works as a Senior Chemist for SkyWater Technology in Austin.

Lisa Burns
Trustee - Lisa Burns (District 6)

Lisa wasn't born in Texas, but got here as soon as she could! She is a graduate of Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Lisa and her husband, Al, moved to Seguin in 2009 to set up a pediatric dental office. Their seven children have all attended or currently attend Seguin ISD schools. Since falling in love with Seguin, Lisa and Al have opened a childcare center and a downtown retail shop, with plans to open a boba shop. Lisa is a member of the Zonta Club of Seguin, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and an Ambassador for the Seguin Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as a board member for the Community Health Centers of South Texas.

Joshua Bright
Trustee - Joshua Bright (District 7)

Josh is a retired U.S. Navy veteran with 21 years of honorable service and a proud resident of Seguin, Texas. After retiring in 2019, he chose to raise his family here, where his three sons, niece, and nephew attend Seguin ISD schools. Deeply committed to public education and student success, Josh has served as Vice President of the Vogel Elementary Parent Teacher Community and as a board member of the Seguin Youth Sports League. In addition to his community service, Josh works as a Commercial Insurance Advisor, bringing a strong background in leadership, accountability, and risk management to his role as a School Board Trustee. He is dedicated to supporting students, educators, and families while helping ensure strong schools and a strong future for the Seguin community.
